My Alaska State Quilt Pattern Block, finished size is fourteen inches by fourteen inches. I have shown it with a white background as snow, but black or a dark blue…wonderful too ! I know this looks a bit over the top in the cutting, but it’s not hard to do, go step by step.
Cut 3 Lt. Purple – 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”
Cut 3 White – 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”
Make Triangles
Cut 3 Purple – 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”
Cut 3 White – 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”

Cut 2 Lt. Blue – 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”
Cut 2 White – 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”

Cut 4 White – 2 ½” x 2 ½”
Cut 1 Yellow – 2 ½” x 2 ½”
Sew as Shown
Cut 4 White – 2 ½” x 1½”
Sew as Shown to sides
Cut 2 White – 2 ½” x 6 ½”
Sew as Shown to top and bottom
Cut 4 White – 2 ½” x 1½”
Cut 2 White – 2 ½” x 4 ½”
Sew as Shown to sides
Cut 2 White – 2 ½” x 10 ½”
