This is one of the classes I used to teach. You do squares, triangles, how to press, color placement and how to get this quilt block as shown or on point.
I can’t find the quilt??? I know it’s here some place????  I don’t think it’s ever had pictures taken of it, if it did, what did I do with them??  Old Lady moment?   Anyway, here is my Growing Garden quilt pattern.

Simple Growing Garden Quilt Block Pattern Growing Garden Quilt Block Pattern

Finished Size of Growing Garden is Ten inches by ten inches (10″ x 10)

Growing Garden Quilt Block Pattern

You will need 3 of this unit make each flower a  different color

Tan Flower is shown – do a RED and a Purple too

Cut 2 Tan – 2 ½” x 2 ½”

Cut 1 Tan – 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”

Cut 1 Red – 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”

Make triangle, only use 1

Cut 1 Yellow – 1 ½” x 1 ½”

Cut 1 White – 1 ½” x 1 ½”

Cut 1 White – 2 ½” x 1 ½”

Cut 2 Pink – 4 ½” x 1 ½”

Cut 1 Green – 1 ½” x 1 ½”

Sew as shown

STEM

Cut 4 Dk. Green 1 ½” x 1 ½”

Cut 5 Lt. Green 1 ½” x 1 ½”

Cut 2 White – 2 ½” x 2 ½”

Cut 2 Dk. Green – 4 ½” x 1 ½”

Sew as shown

SEW into Rows and SEW Rows into the quilt block.

 

Here ‘s the design in a quilt, you would piece 16 of the complete quilt block, putting stem together
