Show it Saturday

A Flowering Tree of Magnolia’s

It’s been a bit for me and my camera. I have missed it so, I spent the other morning with flowers here in Florida. Doesn’t it seem as time has stopped or stood still in our lives, I feel it in mine,  but flowers keep making me smile in their every day ways.
These Magnolia’s were opening up as to greet me.
The light was perfect and I never opened up my umbrella to protect my shots from the sun, which is rare here. Enjoy your Saturday, as much as I enjoyed my Tuesday.

Thank you 2019

Happy 2020 ! !

Thank you 2109… We have had a FANTASTIC year and finger’s crossed the same wonderful in 2020!

Reflections as time passes is my way of remembering. The travel, the laughter and the moments of moving forward. Husband and I have faced everything head on and together. Laughter has been our life line. Our kids and grands are all health and have so much love to share with us. Husband has taken on projects around our home. He takes my drawing and ideas and runs with them.

Care giving has taken on a new form and the education of that has been a mile stone for me and learning to say “No”or “Stop” has fed my strength and understanding to take care of myself first. Silence is my home and answering with that has given me my own power to let things and other’s be or go. Drama is not a word or a way I do anything any more.

We had the privilege to go on a Viking River Cruise, it was unbelievable and all I can really say is, “Get outside of your own world and see everything, it’s all wonderful ! “ My first time overseas and I’m sure that I was in Passau, Germany before…. magic or my first life?? I carry my camera always and here are just a few of 2019. I totaled the photo’s for 2019, 11,248, what a year ! !

This photo below is as we pulled out of Budapest, Hungry into the Danube River, and it really looked like that.  The Church photo is from St. Stephen’s Church in Vienna, the only photoshop done on it was the guy in the bright green stripped shirt, he just wouldn’t move ! He has been deleted !

Saturday Show and Tell – Photo’s

My Week with My Camera

We traveled last week and are so blessed to spend time with our Kids and Grands. We did a nature hike and I was in camera heaven. We spent the day at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum   I think the best part of the day is just the walking and talking with our teenage Grands. Of course it was cool and lots of the flowers were done for the season, the rose garden was being put to sleep for a long winters nap, but there was wonderful fall colors, pumpkins and lots of joy !  Here are just a few of my shots.

Take a Moment with One Flower

Challenging Myself

Taking so many photo’s, I wanted to challenge myself with one flower and just started taking photos. In total, I took 35 photos.  This is an early bloom from our April..  I use a point and shot camera now, have the other kind but…..  My “Center Pink” Photos.

Center Pink Flower by Beth Ann Strub

Not a lot of computer work was done on each photo. I’m not a huge fan of spending time with photoshop !   My dream is to have someone sitting next to me and just telling them what I want….someday??

The biggest part of going over these photos was the cleaning off of all the pollen. Center Pink in Black and White too !

Daisy Day – Let’s all just be HAPPY !

Make every moment a Happy One !

I’m having one of those days…

We had a bit of a thing the other night with my Mom. We had met friends for dinner, just ordered and my phone rang. My Mom had fallen and they HAD to take her to the hospital, the nurse said, “Eat dinner and drive over.” We did just that and when I said to the receptionist, “My name is Beth and my Mom was brought over from – – – nursing center.” She said, “The nurse will be right out.” Of course, Husband and I thought Mom had passed,

NO, OH NO…  They called the wrong family!

Did you see me step back? Did you see me want to scream and yell? Did you see me just completely stop and shut down?  Mother knows nothing about anything.  I didn’t scream and I only received a phone the NEXT day (2pm) from the center’s director…I was thinking a huge bouquet of flowers on my doorstep would have been appropriate? Sometimes, “I’m sorry” is just not enough… Now I know why things are the way they are there…

To say the least… I have Chosen HAPPY !  And MY Daisy makes me Happy !

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day

Today, I wish to do something for myself on Valentines Day. Life has been  VERY crazy and I can’t talk about it quite yet, but I have been able to handle it… The weekend before all the crazy we visited an area attraction, Big Cat Habitat

I am not a HUGE bird person, so I stepped out of the show and took pictures with no one else around but me. I had to shot the pictures through 2 fences and tiger’s seemed to like watching me. Here are just a few, Happy Valentines to us all !

First one is my Favorite.
